Tis the Season

Well, this really is a Christmas goodbye — at least so far as a regular newsletter goes.

After much thought, I recently sent out my last newsletter. Ongoing deliverability issues meant it was no longer the right way for me to stay in touch, and rather than shout into the void, I’ve chosen a better nest for reader updates.

From here on in, I’ll be connecting with readers through irregular blogs and regularly over on Substack.

You can subscribe to NOTES FROM THE NEST for FREE to keep up with what I’m working on next. Simply click on the logo below to get started

However, if you’d like access to advance reader copies, exclusive shorts, deleted scenes, and the occasional exclusive novella, the paid subscription might be for you — and you can unsubscribe at any time.

What I'm working on next:

Over on Substack, I recently ran a poll asking readers what I should work on next, with the following options on offer:

> Lucky Devil: Book 4 in the Lucky Break curvy girl romance series
Pyrate Queen: an exclusive Marina Witches Mysteries novella
Thirst Trapped: Book 3 in the Blood Bond Agency paranormal mystery series
Spirit + Flesh: a smutty romantasy
Her Last Gasp: a psycho-thriller

With a decisive 50% of the vote, the winner was Thirst Trapped, the third book in the Blood Bond Agency series

Eva De Silva thought defeating an ancient evil entity was the hard part. She was wrong. Now she faces a new mystery that threatens to destroy her grandmother’s legacy.

With Georgia De Silva’s vacation stretching on indefinitely, Eva has settled into running the Blood Bond Agency alongside her accidental blood bond, Dominik Zilonka. Their forbidden connection strengthens nightly, despite knowing their relationship is living on borrowed time.

As vampires lose their heads over love and stakes become the weapon of choice rather than dinner, Eva and Dominik must navigate treacherous vampire politics while keeping their own relationship hidden from those who would destroy it.

With ancient powers awakening and deadly secrets surfacing, Eva will need all her matchmaking intuition to solve this case. Because this time, it’s not just hearts at stake. It’s survival itself.

A Christmas pause

Christmas this year will be a low-key affair after what feels like a very long, and at times stressful, year. With no small children in the house, we won’t be woken at five by squeals of “He’s been!”

Instead, the day will start with a leisurely coffee and not much else, to avoid a food coma brought on by Christmas lunch. And because it’s summer in New Zealand, lunch will be a barbecue with salad rather than a three-course roast—though of course there’ll be pavlova, that classic Kiwi dessert (sorry, Australia).

I’ll be taking a break over the holidays, but I’ll be back in the new year, rested, recharged, and ready to dive into Eva and Dominik’s next impossible problem. If you haven’t yet discovered the Blood Bond Agency series, you can get yourself up to date by starting HERE.

In the meantime, wherever you are and however you’re spending it, I hope your Christmas is restful, gentle, and exactly what you need.

Wishing you lots of wonderful reading over the holidays and into 2026. It’s been a pleasure having you in my world, and I’d love to see you over on Substack so we can stay in touch.

Hoping to see you in 2026.
